I’ve had an interesting few days! I took Josh to kindy on Monday, which is where I took the photo of his fish picture below. Then I went to have a medical, which I passed with flying colours apparently. When I got home Deanne and I went to Garden City and I started spending my birthday money, of which I seem to have quite a lot. I bought three t-shirts and a pair of shorts, and still have over a hundred dollars left.
Yesterday morning I went to a Ben and Jerry’s ice cream shop at Hillarys Boat Harbour, to fit a tiny computer to their big TV screens to show… I don’t know, pictures of ice creams or something!?!?! In the afternoon I did some fiddling about with the company website then went out to mess about with a couple of computers at the Labor party offices.
Today I was out returning a client’s computer and picking up a backup drive for storage. Not really a super exciting day, but there was plenty of stuff to keep me busy.
Josh is at Nana’s tonight so Deanne and I have been catching up on some TV and paperwork, although Dee still isn’t up to much because of her back. More of Rich’s work tomorrow.
10 Fish In A Fishbowl
Not a lot going on today, although we did get a load more rain, which I bet you’re really needing to soften your dig up a bit!
I spent most of the day on the computer downloading, then this afternoon I went to the shop and bought a ridiculously large amount of shopping, which will hopefully last us the rest of the month.
We got chips and potato cakey things for tea from the chip shop. After tea I gave him a bath and he played with his mechanical swimming fish in his fish tank that Nana bought him.
The next two weeks are the school holidays, so at least I can take advantage of the fact I don’t have a job yet to spend some time with Joshua doing fun things.
Deanne is going out with Michelle tomorrow as she is over from Melbourne for the weekend, not sure what Josh and I are going to do yet!
As I write I am sitting in bed being scratched by a small ginger cat. Yes, the smallest one has arrived and he’s settled in pretty well!
We got up and ready and went to Fremantle this morning. We walked to the waters edge and looked at the fish swimming around, then went through the restaurant that has fish tanks in to check those out too, after which we headed towards the town centre, found a café in which to have a snack (Deanne had a brownie, I had a fantastic caramel slice and Joshua, somewhat surprisingly, had ice cream). We then walked around the markets and looked at all the interesting things in them.
On the way home we went into a furniture shop, as we are thinking about getting Josh a new bed as his old one is starting to look a bit on the small side.
After a late lunch we went out and visited a few other furniture shops in Success, the best named place in Perth! But after seeing every bed shop at the shopping estate there we went to the airport and collected the Snugs.
Joshua had fish fingers for tea so he could share them with Snuggles. We watched a film Julie lent us tonight called Saving Mr Banks, about the woman who wrote Mary Poppins. It was surprisingly good.
Tomorrow Joshua is at kindy so me and Snugs will be spending some quality time together.
