Bank Holiday

Dear Mum,

So today was a bank holiday, sadly Deanne had to go in to University for a lecture this morning, but on the bright side it meant I got a day with my boy!

Our weekend has been rather crazy…Saturday was really busy (for Joshua), because of the bank holiday Joshy didn’t have gymnastics today, so he went to a make-up class on Saturday morning. Of course he also does swimming on Saturday afternoon, so by the end of the day he was absolutely bejiggered.

Sunday was Julie’s birthday, there was a family gathering at a nice café/restaurant in Fremantle for lunch, the food was great and, unusually, there was a whole load of vegetarian food on the menu (thank you Julie). Unfortunately we were too full for pudding, but we have to go back because they had the most fantastic selection of (enormous) cakes. We’ll take you there when you visit.

Today Josh and I had our final trip to Scitech before our passes run out. Josh and I got ready at the same time this morning, in that he had a bath while I showered, he dried himself off and got his clothes ready and on. He helped me pack our snacks and lunch, then we set off. We were the second people through the door so he got to choose what to do first with no competitors. We played on just about everything, and Joshy had a fantastic time doing experiments, watching puppet shows and making and testing things.

I’ve included a bunch of pictures to make up for the dearth of posts recently, however they’re more or less all from this weekend. I’ll try and remember to drop some others in the Dropbox when I get a chance.

Anyway, life seems a bit more sorted now, I need to get on with a music review so I’ll write in a couple of days when I’ve finished it.

Love

Dan

Hi Dan It was lovely talking to you all this morning – and thanks for the photos too. I am looking forward to visiting sci tech….. Its a nice day here (at last) after a grey start, but chilly never-the-less. Still need a scarf and gloves (and of course dad with his hat!!) We’ve lots of flowers out in the garden as it has been quite mild – it looks really good. Dad is in the process of chopping down the cherry tree in the front – he hates it (always has) – we really need Marc with the chain saw!! love Mum xxxxx
