Blurry Sunday

Dear Mum,
Today has flown past. Can’t rightly remember what we’ve done but whatever it is has made the time go really quickly.
I certainly remember reading a great deal of my new book, which I’m rather enjoying. I haven’t read in the daytime for ages and had forgotten how nice it is.
Joshua had a relaxing day playing with his toys, making some craft-y things, watching TV and playing games on the tablet. Not super constructive for him but he was tired when he woke up so it was necessary!
Deanne made a lovely lemon cake and also made chilli for tea, which was really nice.
I have a couple of things to do tomorrow, but my memory seems to be having the day off today so you’ll have to wait to find out what they are.

Hi Dan Your day sounded lovely and relaxing – glad that you are enjoying your new book. We had an extremely busy day up at Druce. We were there by nine and finally got away at five. 30 of my volunteers turned up to help and we had just over 300 visitors. The weather was perfect and the final organisation of the day was worth the hours we have spent preparing. Everyone worked really hard and we had some wonderful comments (and lots of generous donations). Dad had been up fishing before we set off (he drove the land-rover all day) and when he wasn’t doing that manned the ‘welcome point’ for visitors. I was absolutely whacked when we got home. Luckily I had prepared a curry (korma) which only needed heating up. I then fell asleep in the chair (as did dad), missed the Antiques Roadshow – and was in bed by 9pm. Its back to Druce today and some proper work! lots of love mum xxxxxxxxxxxxx
