Yes, that is a lot of money, even with the exchange, but that’s how much we’ve spent on our car today. But we have done it now and it’s parked in the driveway. We feel quite happy with our purchase and can fit Joshua’s bike in it, so that’s good 🙂
Julie took us to the riverside today and Joshua played in the water for a while, we got the chance to stroke a jellyfish as there were a bunch of them, we knew they didn’t sting ’cause some kids were messing about with a dead one, then on a playground nearby once the equipment was out of the sun and had cooled off a bit. Then we went to pick up the motor and drove it home. We looked at car seats (so Julie and Rick can keep one in their car) on the way back and realised that it’d probably be cheaper to buy one on-line in the UK and send it over that to get it here!!!
On a slightly less happy note I seem to have developed a toothache in the last couple of days, so have booked myself in to the dentists tomorrow at 12 so that can be sorted out. I also went to the pharmacist, that will hopefully be our local once we move out of Julie and Rick’s house, and dropped in my NDSS form, which means I should at least be able to pick up free stuff for my Diabetes from now on.
Joshua is off to his nursery for a “settling session” at 9am in the morning, so I’ll let you know how that goes. other than that tomorrow is apparently the day he’ll be trying out his bike for the first time (we’ve asked him a few times since we arrived and this week he has been saying “on Wednsday” whenever we ask, so hopefully he’ll be true to his word.
